Karis is two!

We are in Ohio this week visiting Matt's family. It has been a relaxing time, nothing to do but hang out with each other and family. Matt's mom has been getting breakfast for Jesse in the morning which lets us sleep in a little bit, every little bit helps!
Karis' birthday was yesterday so we decided to have a celebration here at the homestead with aunts, uncles, and cousins galore. We had a princess theme, easy to do when all the cousins are girls (Jesse was the prince) complete with tiaras, jewels and candy necklaces. I made a castle cake, the most intricate to date. We had a medieval tent for the food (thanks uncle Jason!), a campfire with smores and even some fencing. It was a great party! Oh, and I can't believe my baby is two!

Happy birthday, Karis! The cake turned out great, Jane! G has had a princess birthday party for the past two years, complete with a castle cake. Hopefully this year we will branch out.
